Merab Katamadze
Master’s degree holder in Management Information Systems with qualification of Engineer.
Merab has been working with the Georgian National Communications Commission, independent regulatory authority for electronic communications and broadcasting, since 2014. In 2015 the Parliament of Georgia elected Merab Katamadze on a position of Commissioner. He has huge experience in different sectors like broadcasting, E-voting, publishing, etc. Merab Katamadze is a member of ISOC Georgia Chapter; he is one of the initiators and great supporters of the Mountain Community Internet Project related to covering high mountain regions of Georgia with high speed Internet. Merab is signee of the MoU between GNCC and RIPE NCC. He actively supports development of cooperation between these two organizations under the signed MoU. Merab was a lecturer at Tbilisi State University. Merab speaks Georgian (native), English and Russian. He is a member of Wine Club, National Hiking Federation and Georgian Pen Center.
