Ivane Makharadze
Head of the Audiovisual Media Services Regulation Department of the Georgian Communications Commission
He has been working in the Communications Commission for 13 years, has passed all the stages and since 2013 has been the head of the Audio-Visual Media Services Regulation Department.
Ivane is a lawyer, he graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of International Law and International Relations in 2004. He also holds a Master’s degree in European Media Law from University of Saarbrucken, Germany. He is fluent in Georgian, German, English and Russian.
Ivane Makharadze is Representative of Georgia at the European Platform of Media Regulators (EPRA) and at the European Audiovisual Observatory. Further, Ivane was a member of the Committee on Media Pluralism and Media Ownership Transparency in 2017-2018.
