Nini Shengelia

Head of the Center for Digital Democracy, Sector 3 fellow and social media law expert. Representative of “Alterbridge”, International University for Communication Management

Nini graduated King’s College London with a degree in law. She holds a Master’s degree from BPP University with full funding from a leading law firm – Herbert Smith Freehills. She is PHD student of Media Law Program at Tbilisi State University, researcher and analyst in the field of social media law and digital constitutionalism.

 Nini delivers lectures at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Nini has experience working in both public and private sector in the field of law and international relations, in direction of project management.
Nini worked for a fourth-ranked law firm in the global rankings – Herbert Smith Freehills (headquartered in London) and Stephenson Harwood, a leading law firm in London.

 Nini also works at Media Literacy Department of Communications Commission and has previously worked at Georgian Co-Investment Fund as a Senior lawyer and in International Relations Department at Ministry of Defence of Georgia.
